This medicine helps in regulating cholesterol by lowering bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and increasing good cholesterol (HDL) levels. It also helps decrease high levels of fat and cholesterol in your blood.

Precaution
Before taking atorvastatin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease, kidney disease, alcohol use.
Do not use if you are pregnant. Stop taking this medicine and tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant
Atorvastatin may pass into breast milk and could harm a nursing baby. Do not breastfeed while you are taking this medicine.
