Introduction

After completing her pre-medical at Kinnaird College, Dr. Sarmad Malik received her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College. She worked as a medical officer in internal medicine at Sheikh Zayed Hospital before discovering her calling in dermatology, and she later became an FRCR trainee in radiology at FMH Hospital. Destiny called her to Dermatology and she has developed a passion for the field since then. She completed her postgraduate membership training in Pakistan after receiving training at CMH Lahore, Ganga Ram, Services Hospital, and Mayo Hospital. After that, she completed her Specialty MRCP examination certificate in Dermatology along with her Diploma in Dermatology from Glasgow and an online Diploma from Australia. She completed a fellowship program at the National Skin Centre in Singapore (NSC) to learn about the most recent laser technology and has been in practice since 2013. She obtained her aesthetic certifications from the UK in addition to her general dermatology training in order to better serve and help the myriad of her patients. Her primary area of expertise is general dermatology, which includes all conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails, ranging from immune-mediated illnesses to basic acne. She also provides aesthetic laser procedures like non-invasive facelifts, PRP therapies, and hair removal in addition to general dermatology. At IMC, both medical and cosmetic procedures are available.
