Areas Of Focus

1. Cardiac Electrophysiology Procedures: These include cardiac ablations for the treatment of supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs), atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia. These procedures aim to correct abnormal heart rhythms by targeting and modifying the areas of the heart responsible for the arrhythmias. 2. Cardiac Rhythm Devices: This category encompasses the implantation and management of various devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy devices (CRT-P/D), subcutaneous ICDs, and leadless pacemakers. Loop recorders are also used for long-term cardiac rhythm monitoring to aid in diagnosing intermittent arrhythmias. 3. Structural Heart Procedures: These include minimally invasive interventions such as the implantation of the Watchman device for left atrial appendage occlusion, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR/TAVI), closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defects (ASD), and alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Additional procedures include coronary and peripheral angiography and angioplasty, as well as right and left heart catheterization for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. 4. Non-Invasive Procedures: This group consists of diagnostic tests such as transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, and Holter monitoring. These tests are essential for evaluating cardiac structure, function, and rhythm in a non-invasive manner.
