Introduction
Dr. Mariam Iqbal is FCPS, Masters in Health Professions Education from AKU, and holds a Masters certification in Hysteroscopy from the Keil School of Endoscopy, Germany. She has over 14 years of experience in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics and has worked in Pakistan's largest hospitals, including Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi, Services Hospital, Lahore, as well as Nishtar Hospital, Multan. She also worked on projects in collaboration with NCMNH, AMAN foundation and Jhpeigo. She has been working as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Hameed Latif Hospital and has been part of the ‘Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Unit (MIGSU)\ team and Rashid Latif Group of Gynecologists. She has been academically involved as an Assistant Professor at the Rashid Latif Medical College and as adjuvant faculty at Arif Memorial Teaching Hospital. Currently, she is practicing general gynae/obs including high-risk pregnancy and subfertility. Her special interests include Gynecological Endoscopic Surgery, Infertility high-risk pregnancies, and Aesthetic Gynecology for which she got training in Slovenia and has been doing procedures at Aesthetic Uro-Gynecology Unit, Hameed Latif Hospital. She has facilitated and conducted many workshops and gynecological surgery courses. Furthermore, she has authored and co-authored a chapter in many books and has many International and National publications including published research papers to her credit. Dr. Mariam’s extensive training and experience are matched by her attentiveness and sensitivity to the needs of individuals experiencing issues related to Obstetrics and Gynecology.
