Introduction
Dr. Athar Iqbal is working as a consultant Neurologist for more than a decade. He Graduated from Baqai Medical University. Dr. Iqbal completed his fellowship training at prestigious institutes like Mayo hospital Lahore and Sheikh Zayed hospital Lahore. To fuel his interest in Stroke and Vascular Neurology he moved to the UK and worked at Lister Hospital Stevenage, Hertfordshire NHS trust, and was awarded Fellowship in Stroke Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP ) London.
On his return to Pakistan, his focus remained on establishing and improving stroke services. He has managed to establish stroke centers within the public and private sectors of Lahore and is now geared to set up world-class stroke services at IMC hospital DHA.
