Professor Shiraz Aslam’s expertise is in surgery of the nose and the sinuses using a telescope and camera system. This technique allows the surgeon to operate on areas of the nose and sinuses which are not normally accessible with the naked eye. Thus surgery can be carried out on the deeper sinuses between the nose and the eye and also the sinus above the eyes. This technique can also be used to establish a new tear duct from the eye to the nose. Similarly some times tumours in the pituitary gland can also be removed in association with the neurosurgeon using this minimally invasive technique.
In addition to these problems, the routine ear and voice box disorders are also treated in this firm.
