The public health specialists issued a warning, stating that the number of cases could rise even more in the coming days as a result of standing water left behind by rainstorms in open areas, ponds, building rooftops, and roadways. Official data indicates that throughout the past 30 days, 57 positive dengue cases have been confirmed throughout Punjab.
However, other officials asserted that the health authorities were not accurately disclosing dengue fever case figures. They were concerned that there might be thirty times as many instances of dengue as were officially recorded. They said that a significant number of individuals presenting with dengue fever symptoms were being reported by family doctors operating street clinics throughout Punjab.
